About the Pediatric Emergency Department Crowding Score Survey
The Region V for Kids Surge Workgroup has created a short survey to learn what crowding scores pediatric emergency departments are using. We anticipate that a better understanding of everyday crowding is crucial to optimizing the response during disasters.
Who can participate -
Any pediatric emergency department whether it is located in a free-standing children’s hospital or pediatric-dedicated section of a general emergency department
This survey is not for general emergency departments WITHOUT a dedicated pediatric section
Both the main campus and branch emergency departments within the same system can participate
Who should complete the survey -
The survey can be completed by the medical director, nursing leadership, or anyone else familiar with the emergency department metrics and crowding score
